September 11th in NYC

The city was quiet, with most people staying home and avoiding the subway. I thought it would be a perfect day to go to Laduree , to get some of the delicious macaroons.  http://www.nytimes.com/2011/08/31/dining/laduree-brings-its-macarons-to-new-york-food-stuff.html

Heavenly delight

We did brunch with my sis- in- law, who was visiting from SF and planned the brunch around a trip to Laduree, for some after brunch treats. We got there and already we could see, there was hardly any space in the store to stand– still charged with the NEED to eat one of these , we lined up and realized the line is over 60 minutes long!!!

Finally gave up and left- much to my disappointment and of my sis in law who was going to surprise her husband with a box of these- if she didn’t have to get to the airport, I think we might have waited.

Hoping I can get my teeth into these quite soon- its been a while since I ate these ! 🙂

Been to this location? Tell me what you think.

December travels

Now is when the panic sets in- December is almost here, and the hotels is not booked.

So many choices and questions- all inclusive or not? 7 night minimum, or 10? Plunge pool or not? Kid friendly? adults only? compulsory gala-dinner or no?

I am read to roll up my sleeves and answer all these questions! So whether is the Caribbean you are looking at, or Mexico, or Christmas markets in Europe, lets talk!

Ritz Calton Cayman Islands

We just returned from the Ritz Carlton in Cayman Islands. It is THE hotel to be at, in the Cayman Islands. Amazing staff, great food, fanstastic pool a gorgeous beach! If you are in the mood for baubles, then Tiffany’s on the 5th floor can surely help you. The property is 144 acres, features residences with kitchens, balconies, a golf course designed by Greg Norman, “Blue” restaurant by Eric Rupert, whats not to like!
Loving the arrangement in the center table

with kitchen and some with 2 balconies- heaven
