3 nights in Paris, 5 nights in Perros-Gueric, Brittany

We headed to France, August 9th , to meet up with our parents. ( both sets).

We flew XL airlines, it was decent, good food and service, no personal entertainment. Since the flight departure was 11.50 pm ( delayed to 3 am), we pretty much slept on the plane anyway.

First stop was the Mandarin Oriental. I decided to stay here 1 night, as I do sell the hotel a lot, so it was good to check it out and experience it. After doing a site inspection of it last year, it was totally wonderful to have a night stay here. Great location – on Rue St.-Honore, next to hotel Costes , Place Vendome , Tuilleries. 🙂

We had an absolutely huge room- super spacious and loved it totally- if you are in Paris and looking for something contemporary , clean lines and chic- the Mandarin is IT!

If you didn’t read the post about the inspection, here is it http://wp.me/p1PB4X-2C

We spent our first evening walking around, just enjoying the sights and sounds of Paris. Dinner was on the busy Rue du Bac street.

Our next 2 nights were at Hotel Montalembert. The only 5 star property on the left bank. A wonderful location and very affordable. Highly recommend it!
It’s a simple hotel- hot the Mandarin/ Bristol/ Ritz category , but a wonderful option. Friendly staff, simple rooms.

After 3 nights here, we took the train to Brittany, got cars and checked into Hotel L’Agapa.  A small leading hotel of the world and the only 5 star in this area. A beautiful property with a Nuxe Spa.
